So, I got invited to the High Achievers assembly.

one word: LAWL?

I remember one year ago, sitting with my fellow Year 12s and listening to their advice "Don't cram" "Use your teachers". I went home that day spilling with motivation and renewed spirit.

I don't know about you, but I certainly didn't take their advice. I can't seem to grasp onto motivation, me and procrastination are homies, we stick together no matter what.

Some helpful tips and advice for you future HSCers (but you guys will probably take it into account, but not use it until the HSC is over and you start giving advice, and realise, "hey..it's true) :

- You would have all heard "RELAX" but I can't stress to you enough how important it is. Once you panic, you do countless silly mistakes like in my trials (but I learnt lol), read the questions CAREFULLY, just one word could cost you.

- Do NOT pull all/half nighters the night before the HSC, your body will hate you and it'll tell the brain to take revenge and make you think slower. It may sound like common sense, but at the time, you'll be so tempted just so you can "cram" a little bit more.

- Actually wake up a bit earlier rather then sleep later. You study better in the mornings anyway. RELAX! and just read over your notes a few times, remember to RELAX!

- Have a good breakfast! the nerves may kick in, but try to eat. I survived Maths on an empty stomach that was filled with coffee and V, I could barely think straight.

- Bring in a can of V during the exam.

- Tie something heavy to the end of your pen and write your essays with them. I wrote my essay over 50 times like that, and it works your finger muscles. Once you take it off, your hand should FLY when you write. Time is crucial!

- After you do your exams, check you have each section set up in piles. I took my part C of legal studies out the door, if it wasn't for the kind lady, I would have lost all those marks. Sometimes, the booklets are set that you just forget, so just check.

- English paper 1, heaps of people tell me they don't do it in order, leaving comprehension last. But then they spent too much on creative and essay leaving them hardly any time for comp. Thinking about it, it's still 15 marks, just like the 2 other sections, why throw it away?

- Also, if you are fortunate to have your exams spread out, take advantage and study! Don't be like me and bludge for all those days then cram the day before. It'll ease on your panic attacks LOL

- And last of all..HAVE FCUKING FUN! enjoy your last year of high school because trust me, you'll miss the days where you get to see your bestfriends everyday and have such close friendships with your teachers. I miss high school so much... =(
